Paperwork - You will need to complete paperwork including a case history which will help the doctor determine how to proceed with your care in Van Buren.
Thorough Evaluation in VAN BUREN
After your complimentary consultation, if you qualify for MLS Laser Therapy, the next step is to perform a thorough evaluation.
- Physical Exam - Orthopedic, neurological, and spinal examinations are performed to determine general health status and problems.
- X-rays - May be utilized to further assess your condition only if physical examination indicates the need for further studies.
- Diagnosis - Based on history, examination, and X-ray/lab findings the doctors will diagnose your condition and explain to you what the problem is and how we will treat it.
- Treatment Plan - A personal treatment plan will be developed for you that will include, but may not be limited to Laser Therapy, supplements, exercises, and physiotherapy (icing or heating).
FIRST VISIT FOR MLS LASER THERAPY TREATMENT
(May or may not be the same day as your evaluation)
- Discuss Treatment Plan - We will discuss your diagnosis along with the recommended treatment plan. The laser tech will explain the details of the treatment provided.
- Treatment - Specified treatment is administered by the laser technician for the determined amount of time, with an average of 10-15 minutes.
- Schedule Your Next Appointments as Necessary - Schedule your appointments as determined by the doctor and laser technician for the week.
COMMENTS/QUESTIONS:
If your paperwork is submitted 24 hours in advance, your first visit will be approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. It will take longer if you complete your paperwork in the office.
Please bring any prior diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRI, CAT scans, and reports. In addition, bring your insurance card, driver's license, and payment method. We accept all major credit cards, CareCredit, HSA, Flex Spending, personal checks, and cash.
In most cases, insurance will not cover 100% of your evaluation, and a contribution from you such as a copay, deductible, or co-insurance may be due at the time of service. We will review your benefits on your first visit before you incur any charges. If you decide not to proceed with an evaluation or do not qualify for treatment, there will be no fees for your visit.
You may dress or bring with you, loose-fitting clothes without metal embellishments, zippers, or buttons like a t-shirt and sweatpants or we will provide you with exam clothes.
Your first visit is all about you! Our main goal is to determine if you are a candidate for MLS Laser Therapy. We will review your health history, perform a thorough physical, orthopedic and neurological exam, and possibly an x-ray examination.
X-rays reveal the health of your " insides" and provide us with invaluable information to determine your diagnosis and present you with treatment options and recommendations. Without being able to see your condition and confirm our suspicions, we would be guessing and we won’t guess when it comes to your health. If you have x-rays or diagnostic imaging less than 2 years old, we will be happy to review them to determine if additional tests are needed.
In order to provide you with optimal care, we must gather all the information we obtain on your first visit to determine the best plan of action for you. Only after the doctor has evaluated your exam results will treatment be given. This is determined on a case by case basis, depending on diagnostic tests brought with you, if additional tests are needed and the severity of your condition.
